G99 application questions installers ask
What is a G99 application?
G99 is the ENA engineering recommendation covering connection of generation and larger demand that the DNO must assess and approve before connection — as opposed to G98 “fit and inform”. Commercial EV charging, heat pumps at scale, battery storage and export all commonly fall under G99.
Do you cover G100 export limitation too?
Yes. Where a scheme uses export or demand limitation (for example solar-plus-battery, or managed EV charging), we prepare the G99/G100 evidence and settings summary for your qualified engineer to review and confirm.
Do you submit the G99 application for us?
No. We prepare and evidence-check the pack; your authorised installer or qualified engineer reviews, signs where required and submits. We prepare paperwork and workflow support — we do not certify electrical design.
How much does a G99 application pack cost?
A single pre-check is £495, a full commercial pack is £950, and multi-site, fleet or complex battery/solar work starts from £1,500. Scope and price are confirmed before any paid work.
